I have written many songs for people. People who have asked me to write a song for special occasions,
for lovers and family. I consider this a real honour and privilege.

This is one of those songs. Written in 2018.

My friend Nina was getting married to Andreas. Nina wanted a song for Andreas.
Andreas had a beautiful daughter from his first marriage, who I actually knew as well.

I decided to write Andrea’s song from the perspective of his little girl.

It’s not my fault, I’m not to blame, but it still hurts just the same
When I watched them cry
Not knowing how, what, where, or why
But that it changed when you came

I knew then that love would win

I’ve seen him change to spring and summer
Blue in the sky where once was thunder
Now winter and fall I don’t see at all

I only want what makes him happy I said you’re the one
You don’t have to thank me it was easy for me
My lucky number is 3

I’m only young but old enough
to know the truth and feel the love
Don’t need to ask, its clear to see
It’s in the way he drives you home so that you’re safe

I knew then that love would win

Now is it fate known before time
You’d be together like June and July
Peas in a pod, hand in a glove
I dream one day I’ll know this kind of love

When all’s said and done
You are the ones
For me
