The Kanapee

For years I have played, wherever there is a stage
But friends here, is special to me
It's hard to describe till you step inside
And see for yourself what I mean

From The Galilee came, hair red as a flame
Greets me like a brother feared lost
With a kiss on my face, an Arabisch embrace
I tell him it's here I love most

Oh we'll drink and we'll dine at the Kanapee
We’ll sing till its light at the Kanapee
Pleasures you'll find in the music and wine
Liza sang, “Life is a cabaret”
We’ll remember tonight at the Kanapee

Magic is woven by Bach and Beethoven
Music that’s born in the sky
The lights they are dimmed, the evening begins
And you find you’ve a tear in your eye

A classic Fazioli whose tone is matched only
By the laughter you hear from Yasir
He shows you to your table, make friends if you’re able
Then start planning the next time you're here

Lets not forget the girls and the chef
Who serve you with smiles, never frowns
At the end of the night, Yasir turns on the lights
And asks that the Hat makes no sound
